Allow me to introduce Anyrah Shavéh: an award-winning poet and author based in Brooklyn, New York, originally from Flint, Michigan. She has gained national recognition for her thought-provoking performances and advocacy work.

Anyrah has graced stages alongside notable figures such as Grammy Award-Winning Artist J.Ivy and New York Times Best-Selling Author Kennedy Ryan. In 2024, she captivated audiences as both a performer and keynote speaker at the University of Michigan-Flint’s Boss Up Leadership Conference.

Anyrah served as a Brand Ambassador for the Kenneth Cole x Perfect White Tee collaboration, where she crafted a spoken word poem addressing the challenges of perfection and self-judgment, promoting a powerful message of self-acceptance and authenticity.

A proud alumna of Tennessee State University, Anyrah earned her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications. Her undergraduate achievements include winning 1st place in the Tennessee State University Oratorical Contest in 2016 and being a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She transitioned from a successful career in global marketing to pursue her passion for poetry and performance full-time.

Anyrah is also the visionary behind the "Protect Your Peace & PH Balance" apparel collection and has been featured on prominent poetry platforms like Write About Now, Voices In Power, and Poetry Me Please. Her impactful poetry has reached over 5 million people on Instagram and TikTok. Notably, she performed at the inaugural Afropunk Herstory event and the Lincoln Center Poetry Festival in 2023.
